The Cthulu-mythos knowing part of me thinks it might be dangerous to probe the mysteries of anything “that should not be”…but in this case a star with fewer heavy metals than ought to be in a Sun-generation star is something I say we look into.
Origially captured by the SDSS sky survey, the spectrometry used to figure out the elemental composition of this star is from the Very Large Telescope, an ESA ‘scope high in the mountains of Chile.
